After earning the state ranking of “Unacceptable” in 2011 (for the second time in three years), Premont Independent School District brass recently signed an agreement with the Texas Education Agency to cancel student sports, as soon as the current boys and girls basketball seasons conclude, which will allow the district to remain open until December.
