OPERATION CRACKDOWN-The Joint Counter-Drug Task Force and the City of Kingsville have teamed up to
demolish drug havens and buildings that could be used for other illicit activity throughout the city. The program,
created by the Texas National Guard, has demolished over 200 buildings in Kingsville to date, with structures varying
from frame houses to abandoned commercial buildings. The two-week Kingsville Wipe Out Program, which began
on Aug. 23, focused on demolishing 28 structures at 25 properties, while taking down around three structures per
day. Pictured is a structure at 701 N. 6th St., which was demolished Thursday. (Photos by Erika Hernandez)
