32-2A All-District girls basketball selections posted

The Bishop Lady Badgers and Riviera Lady Seahawks basketball squads recently placed several team members to the 32-2A All-District Team for their accomplishments throughout the 2009- 2010 season.

Bishop marched into uncharted territory, reaching the regional semi-final round for the first time in school history before losing to the Poth Lady Pirates.

Lady Badgers receiving honors were Kasey Cavazos - Offensive MVP, Kelsey Hayes - Defensive MVP, Santarina Rivera - Newcomer of the year and Sherry Wilson - Coach of the year.

Brianne Vincent and Aricela Alvarez were selected to the First Team, while Coralie Saenz received honorable mention.

The Riviera Lady Seahawks had Mika Womack and Alyssa Alarcon selected to the All-District First Team.
