Members of the VFW Post 2375 and St. Paul AME Church held an appreciation dinner for Tomas R. Sanchez Jr. Saturday to show their gratitude for his 21 years of service to the citizens of Kleberg County. Sanchez served as the Kleberg County Veterans Service Officer for 21 years and currently serves as the Kleberg County Emergency Manager. Pictured are members of the VFW Post 2375, who presented a plaque to Sanchez for his service. Sanchez said he is a very shy person and isn’t used to being recognized. ‘I’m the type of person who works behind the curtain,’ Sanchez said. ‘But I thank you all for this, and if I was able to help you in any way then I’ve done my job.’ (Photo by Erika Hernandez) Members of the VFW Post 2375 and St. Paul AME Church held an appreciation dinner for Tomas R.
