Kingsville Noon Lions Club to help raise funds on ‘White Cane Day’ March 27
Members of the Kingsville Noon Lions Club will take to the local Wal-Mart in Kingsville on Saturday, March, 27 to raise funds as part of the annual White Cane Day.
According to Donny Trant, the local Lions Eye Exams/Glasses/Recycling Coordinator, funds raised will be used to provide free eye exams for needy youth.
These kids are identified mainly through school nurses in the area.
Regionally, the club sends some of these funds to “Lions Eye Bank of Texas,” which has a branch office in Corpus Christi.
The Eye Bank has provided much needed corneal transplant services throughout the Gulf Coast and United States since 1953.
The Kingsville Noon Lions Club meets every Wednesday at 12 noon at the Sirloin Stockade.
Lions Clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work to fulfill those needs.
