Roel G. Saldana

Roel G. Saldana Roel G. Saldana, 75, of Kingsville, died on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Kingsville.

Saldana was born on Aug. 6, 1934, in Kingsville to Guadalupe and Sofia Saldana.

He was self-employed, owned and operated Saldana House Moving and Leveling of Kingsville and a member of St. Martins Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Maria Elena Saldana of Kingsville; two daughters, Maricella (Hector) Gonzalez and Rosie (Rogelio) Saldana both of Georgetown; three sons, Roel Saldana Jr., Lauro (Mary) Saldana, and Roberto (Melissa) Saldana, all of Kingsville; one sister, Graciela Ruiz of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Guadalupe Saldana and Eloy Saldana both of Kingsville; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation was held March 5 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville.

A rosary was recited March 5 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. March 6 at St. Martins Catholic Mission Church with the Rev. Joe Torres O.M.I. officiating.

Cremation followed.
