Parents of Gillett Intermediate wiggled into their student’s desk chairs as they learned together with their children basic and advanced science concepts.

The Kingsville Independent School District science teachers at Gillett, together with the Title I Family Involvement Center, offered opportunities for learning through science lessons and experiments.

This event was just one of the many planned to increase parental involvement.

Another event which parents are invited to attend is “Parent Rodeo” Mini-Conference “A Stampede of Ideas for You and Your Children” for all KISD parents from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 11.

For more information on this event and other opportunities for parental involvement, contact Cindy Hernandez, Parent Facilitator, at 595-9091.
