Badgers clip Seahawks 78-73 in final district contest
Advance to face Cotulla in first round playoffs
      The Bishop Badgers varsity basketball team hosted district rival Riviera this past Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the final district game of the season, emerging with a 78-73 victory to close their regular season record at 16- 12 overall and 9-3 in district play. The Badgers started quickly, outscoring the Seahawks 23-15 in the opening period.

      LADY BRAHMAS IN FIRST PLACE H.M. King High School’s varsity girls soccer team settled into the driver’s seat in District 31-4A after defeating Laredo Nixon 4-2 this past Tuesday. The Lady Bulls were tied for first place with the Mustangs before the game and are now two points ahead of Laredo LBJ in the 31-4A standings.

H.M. King tennis team shows improvement at Falfurrias tourney
      The H.M. King Tennis Team returned back from another successful tennis tournament held Feb. 5-6 hosted by Falfurrias. The varsity girls’ tennis team placed second in girls’ doubles. The senior duo of Rachel Rubio and Hope Castaneda has placed in all three tournaments they entered this season, according to H.M. King Tennis Coach Ed Gonzales.
