Fidel Garcia Fidel Garcia, 88, of Kingsville, died Feb. 18, 2010.

He was born Aug. 31, 1921, to Jorge Garcia and Fidela Guerra in Kingsville.

He retired from the Kingsville Independent School District as a custodian and he was also farmer.

Garcia was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Mission Catholic Church.

Survivors include his two sons, Humberto (Ann) Garcia of Kingsville and Paul (Lotene) Garcia of Sequin; son-in-law, Oscar Vela; daughter, Hilda (Rey) Granado of Corpus Christi; brother, Ysauro (Y.G.) Garcia; sisters, Zulema Martinez and Hermila Garcia, all of Kingsville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Feb. 19 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary recited that same evening.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Feb. 20 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

Burial followed at Resthaven Cemetery in Kingsville.
