Actor Pepe Serna to perform here

Pepe Serna Pepe Serna Acclaimed actor and entertainer Pepe Serna, who played Angel in the movie Scarface with Al Pacino, will perform live in Kingsville at the H.M. King High School auditorium Sunday, Feb. 28.

His one man show, El Ruco, Chuco, Cholo, Pachuco, accompanied by the music of Martin Espino, will begin at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for students and $7.50 pre-sale. They are on sale Beto’s Community Grocery, 1102 E. Yoakum Ave., and Roy’s Stop and Save, 429 E. Santa Gertrudis Ave. or by calling 361-933-1120.

Tickets will also be sold at the box office on show day for $10 if available.

El Ruco, Chuco, Cholo, Pachuco was written by the veteran actor, who is also a teacher and painter.

El Ruco, Chuco, Cholo, Pachuco is a journey dating back to the pre-Columbian era that includes the legends from beyond projected by Serna through a variety of characters from his past, present and future as he explores his Chicano experience and roots.

Serna’s performance goes in and out of each personality as he jumps from century to century, continent to continent, ranging from the very serious to the comedic.

His long list of film credits include roles with Steve Martin, Edward James Olmos, Clint Eastwood, Johnny Depp, and Kevin Costner.

A native of Corpus Christi, Serna now lives in Newport, Calif.
