Badger baseball ranked No. 1 in 2A state preseason poll

      For the first time in school history, the Bishop Badger baseball team was selected No. 1 in the state 2A division by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association preseason poll. The selection was made at a recent statewide convention held in Waco by the THSBCA.

Baseball season arrives for Seahawks

      In his first year as a baseball skipper, Riviera Kaufer High School’s Joseph R. Pickens and his team had the kind of success that sometimes eludes newbies. The Seahawks went 23-4 overall and advanced all the way to the second round of the postseason before being eliminated. Kaufer has seven players returning from last season.

      The Bishop Badger boys basketball team won in a 46-45 heart-stopper against the San Diego Vaqueros on Friday, Jan. 29 in Bishop. The Badgers and Vaqueros went toe to toe, going into intermission in a tie.
