The Bishop CISD Gifted and Talented Program will serve students in the academic areas of language arts, math, science, and social studies.

Nominations for students not currently in the program will be accepted from February 1-12, 2010 before the close of the school day.

Nominations for the program may be made by parents, teachers, counselors, the students themselves, or other interested persons.

These nominations will be accepted by the campus principals only; therefore, forms must be picked up and returned to the principal’s office at the appropriate campus.

In addition, written parental consent must be obtained before any special testing or individual assessment is conducted as part of the screening and identification process.

Questions about the nomination process may be directed to Dr. Eden Hernandez, GT Program coordinator for the district, or to individual campus principals.
