Lisamarie Erebia Lisamarie Erebia Lisamarie Erebia has announced her candidacy for Kleberg County District Clerk in the March 2010 Democratic Primary.

She believes her background will be viable as a District Clerk.

“I believe my education and experience make me a qualified candidate that will exceed the expectations required for the job,” she said. “I believe in being the best and doing the best and can honestly tell voters that I offer myself as the best possible public servant.”

She notes that she has done volunteer work since she was a child with her father.

She has participated in volunteer work at the Recycling Center, city wide clean up programs and antidrug campaigns.

“It was instilled in me since birth to work for the improvement of humanity and it is better to give than to receive,” she said. “I can guarantee the people that there will always be accountability and transparency in the District Clerk’s office, and I ask for the people’s vote and support.

“I welcome any questions regarding my candidacy and welcome any supporters in my campaign,” she said.

Erebia is employed as a caseworker with Coastal Plains MHMR where her work involves counseling with the clients. As a caseworker, she is in close contact with the local law enforcement officials, Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kingsville Police Department and also Brooks County Sheriff and Police Department where she also handles cases.

She is knowledgeable in legal terminology, regulation and the procedures of the judicial systems. Her job requires that she be ready at all times when contacted by law enforcement agencies during times of life threatening crisis.

Erebia has extensive experience in legal documentation, contract writing, and recording acquired by working with her father, Faustino Erebia Jr., for a Corpus Christi law firm. She also has experience writing documentation for medical and legal reports for a local chiropractor.

She was born and raised in Kingsville. She graduated from H.M. King High School in 2004 where she was a National Honor Student and was named to the Who’s Who Among American High School students. She was also on the National Honor Society’s executive board and was also president of the H.M. King High School French Club.

She graduated from Texas A&M University Kingsville earning a BA degree in psychology with a minor in criminology in three years. Erebia served as a senator in the Student Government Association for three years. She was a member of Psi Chi and Alpha Chi honor fraternities.

She is married to Jesse Beltran, who is employed as a plumber with Rodriguez and Sons Plumbing. The couple have one child and Erebia also has three stepchildren.
