The National Center for Educational Achievement has recently named H.M. King High School as a member of its prestigious Higher Performing Schools designation in Texas, based on significant growth demonstrated by students in the areas of science.

A Texas Legislator will honor King High leaders at a future NCAE conference where they have also been invited to meet with education researchers to share strategies for success.

“All of us in KISD are extremely proud of this honor,” Roel Gonzalez, King High principal, said. “The success demonstrated by our students is the culmination of efforts from teachers in grades Pre-K to 12,” he said.

“We know science is vital in careers of the future; we are committed to ensuring KISD students are ready to commit in a global market.”
