Linda Faith speaks to Community Service Department at November meeting
The Community Service Department met at The Cherry Tree Tea Room on Nov. 18.
Linda Faith, Community Health Coordinator from Christus Spohn spoke to the members about the many benefits of being a V.I.P. member.
There are 1,200 V.I.P. members in the Spohn system and 75 of those are members at Spohn Kleberg.
The dues are $15 per year and anyone over 55 or older is eligible to join.
V.I.P. members receive a senior journal to record important medical information, a coupon book with discounts on various items, some health screenings and much more.
Wellness Wednesday is offered at The Physicians Plaza West on the third Wednesday of the month.
The V.I.P.’s meet once a month for a potluck lunch and have a guest speaker.
A newsletter is sent four times a year with information concerning dates and times.

The business meeting was presented by Ruby Neely, in Jean Claire Turcotte’s absence.
Bernice Wiederanders announced the pecans have been delivered.
The Woman’s Club of Kingsville hosted a reception after the KSO Concert at on Nov. 21.
Jean Kiel, one of the members and also with The Friends of the Library asked members to donate new and gently used books to the library.
Cash donations may also be made to purchase new books.

The next meeting will be January 20 and the speaker will be Lisa Neely.
