Deputy Valarie Enzenbacher receives a huge donation of Thanksgiving meals from Rene Olivarez, right, and also on behalf of Mary and John Asch. For the fourth year, the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office has been able to distribute Thanksgiving Turkeys to families in need.

Thanks to the generosity of several donors which included Mr. and Mrs. John Asch and nephew Rene Olivarez, Augustin Reyes of Reyes & Sons Plumbing, Daniel and Eric Daniel Gonzalez of ABC Cleaners, Eddie Yaklin, Tim Pollard and Ruben Rubio of Eddie Yaklin Ford.

Other donors not pictured are Vito Villarreal of Big House Burgers, and the staff of the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office.

Some of the staff and patrol were on hand to help receive and distribute the turkeys. They are Deputy Valarie Enzenbacher, Detention Officer Robert Garcia, Sheriff Edward Mata, Bobby Alvarado, Deputy Alex Perez, Sgt. Albert Cavazos, Deputy Mike Wood and Lt. J.D. Longoria.

Students in the newly formed “Operation Role Model” Mentoring Program assisted along with their parents with donations of the trimmings to go along with the turkeys.
