KISD athletes make All A honor roll
Twenty-three H.M. King High School athletes distinguished themselves by making the All A Honor Roll for the first six weeks.
“These students demonstrate that hard work and dedication can lead to success in both athletics and academics. Kingsville ISD is very proud of them,” Emilio Castro, Superintendent of Schools said.
These All-A athletes represent many different sports.
Varsity football athletes include Mike Benavides, William Cumberland, Matthew Garza; cross country - John Le, David Lewis, Bo Perez, Andrew Rivas (also in cross country), Blake Sugarek, Luke Waddingham, and Nathan Westbrook.
Varsity volleyball honorees include Stephanie Lozano and Hannah Peterson.
Varsity tennis athlete scholars are Hope Castaneda (also a student trainer) and Aaron Gerragauch. All-A cross country athletes include Bryan Garcia and Kelly Ryan. Jaquelyn Westbrook represents the golf team on the All-A Honor Roll, and Madeline Abrigo is a student trainer.
JV football includes Colter Carr, and freshman football is represented by Joshua Mascorro.
Jolisa Barrera and Juan Gonzalez, members of the JV tennis team, also made the All-A Honor Roll for the first six weeks.
