H. M. KING JROTC TEAMS PLACE AT LA JOYA COMPETITION — On October 31, 2009, several extracurricular teams from the Brahma Battalion traveled to La Joya to participate in a Military Skills Meet. The teams included Physical Fitness, Male and Female Color Guards, and Armed and Unarmed Drill Teams. The Female Color Guard placed third Overall and the Armed Drill Team was awarded first place Overall. The Armed Drill Team commander C/MAJ Jamie Beal was selected as the Best Overall Commander. In the Overall competition, the Brahma Battalion was fourth out of twenty-three teams and was the highest placing 4A program. H. M.
