TODDLERS & TIARAS — Brooke McClung, a 9-year-old beauty pageant contestant from Premont, was being filmed for 2 days this past week in Premont and Kingsville for the TLC reality show Toddlers & Tiaras. A film crew from Los Angeles followed Brooke and her family in the week of preparations leading up to the Universal Royalty Pageant held in Austin on Nov. 6-7. Brooke and her mother Jennifer stopped by Southern Tanning Salon last week where owner Debra Boyce gave Brooke a full body tan for the upcoming pageant. Brooke competed in four categories including Beauty, Swimwear, Talent, and Pro-Am in order to win the title of Ultimate Grand Supreme which includes $5000 in cash which she would use towards college and costs to cover the pageant. The episode featuring Brooke will be shown on the third season sometime in January or February.
