TORI GERYK ...All-District First Team The Bishop Lady Badgers varsity volleyball squad had a great year, reaching the area playoffs before getting knocked out by Vanderbilt Industrial three games to two.

In what was supposed to be a rebuilding year, the Lady Badgers earned the District 32-2A championship and named Bi-District champions with a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

Selected to the All-District First Team was Tori Geryk, while Christina Wilborn and Kasey Cavazos were named to the All-District Second Team.

Defensive player of the year honors went to Regan Gonzalez.

Bishop’s Lady Badger varsity coach Flor Pena- Buchanan earned Coach of the Year in District 32-2A.

“We had a great year and I am very proud of our team… with five returning starters, we will be back next year,” Pena-Buchanan said.
