Jesus R. Montalvo Jesus R. Montalvo Jesus R. Montalvo, 79, of Kingsville, died Nov. 9, 2009, in Kingsville.

He was born June 25, 1930, in Nueces County, to Francisco Montalvo and Valeriana Rivera Montalvo.

Montalvo was employed with the King Ranch as a cowboy until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Minerva A. Montalvo of Kingsville; six daughters, Ilma Cortez, Norma (Espi) Ramos, Frances Cisneros, Cynthia (David) Wallace, Connie (Ernest) Romero and Linda Lee Montalvo, all of Kingsville; three sons, Juan Ernesto (Veronica) Montalvo, Robert Montalvo and Miguel Montalvo, all of Kingsville; two brothers, Braulio (Emma) Montalvo Sr. and Jose F. Montalvo, both of Kingsville; five sisters, Oralia (Jose) Saldana of Ricardo, Sylvia (Juan) Garcia and Mercedes (Dean) Kunkel, both of Riviera, Angelita Hernandez of Armstrong, Lydia (Robert) Ortiz of Port O’Connor; 26 grandchildren; and 52 greatgrandchildren.

A prayer service was conducted Nov. 10 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Julian Rangel officiating.

Burial followed in Kingsville at Chamberlain Cemetery.
