Elvia M. Rubalcaba Elvia M. Rubalcaba, 53, of Riviera, died on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 in Tomball.

Rubalcaba was born on Oct. 5, 1956 in Brownsville. She was a dietary specialist with Alice ISD.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Juan G. Rubalcaba of Magnolia; two sons, Juan (Monica) Rubalcaba of San Antonio and Marco (Jennifer) Rubalcaba of Magnolia; three brothers, Abel Maldonado and Leo Maldonado, both of Riviera, and Mario Maldonado of San Antonio; three sisters, Maria Barnes of Tomball, Sulema Maldonado of San Antonio and Elva Garza of Riviera; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23. Fire

A rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Riviera with Father Peter Anthony officiating.

Burial followed at Riviera Cemetery.
