Thomas Henry Lawrence Thomas Henry Lawrence, age 87, a resident of Bishop, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on July 26, 1922 in El Paso, Texas to John Henry Lawrence and Lydia Colbert Lawrence. He was employed by Celanese Corporation until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bishop. Mr. Lawrence was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Mae Lawrence; a son, Charles Richard Lawrence; and a sister, Billie Cray.

He is survived by his daughter, Kay Lynn Underbrink, her husband, Ed Underbrink, and his two grandsons, Lance Edward Underbrink and Lawrence Richard Underbrink, all of Kingsville; and a sister, Edythe Reynolds of Edinburg, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lawrence is also survived by his current wife, Dorris Brown Lawrence; and her children and their families.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends that evening during those hours.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at Restland Cemetery, Bishop, Texas with Rev. Clif Abshier officiating.

Services are entrusted to Turcotte- Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
