Candelario ‘Lalo’ G. Salazar Jr. Candelario ‘Lalo’ G. Salazar Jr. Candelario “Lalo” G. Salazar Jr., 68, of Kingsville, died on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 in Kingsville.

Salazar was born on Jan. 3, 1941, in Linares, N.L., Mexico to Candelario and Castula Salazar. He was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Maria G. Salazar of Kingsville; six daughters, Martha Ann (Eric) Salazar of Kingsville, Marciela (Brandon) Salazar of Bastrop, Rosie (Ernie) Cortez of McAllen, Leticia Salazar of San Juan, Berta (David) Benne of Arkansas, and Gloria Salazar of San Juan; four sons, Lupe (Maxine) Salazar of Abilene, Martin Salazar of McAllen, Carlos (Cynthia) Salazar of Mission, and Raul (Erin) Salazar of Austin; one brother, Carlos Salazar of Pharr; and two sisters, Angelita Hernandez of Pharr and Maximina (Ruben) Palacios of California.

Visitation was held Oct. 12 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A rosary was held Oct. 12 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A funeral service was held on Oct. 13 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
