Barbara ‘Barb’ Mugg
Former Bishop resident, Barbara “Barb” Mugg, 75, of Fairview, Mont., died Oct. 1, 2009, at the Sidney Health Center, after a battle with Ovarian Cancer.
She was born on April 21, 1934, to Alfred and Mary (Herbert) Stattner in Cloverdale, Putnam County, Ind.
She started as a Key Punch Operator for the Public Service in Plainfield, Ind.
She later started working for RCA continuing as a Key Punch Operator.
She was a member of the Quincy Baptist Church in Quincy, Ind., and the First Baptist Church in Bishop.
Survivors include: her husband, Bill Mugg of Fairview, Mont.; two sons, Tim Ford of Columbus, Ohio and Phillip Mugg of Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Debbie Firpo of Greer, S.C., Wanda Dye of Vancouver, Wash., and Juanita Mugg of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Shelly Mugg Tjelde of Cartwright, N.D.; a brother, Larry Stattner of Cloverdale, Ind.; a sister, Wilma Davis of Cloverdale, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 10 at the First Baptist Church in Bishop, with Cliff Abshier officiating.
Musical selections will be provided by Tom and Patty Estees.
Interment of cremains will be in the Restland Memory Park Cemetery in Bishop.
Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney was in charge of the arrangements.
