Ophelia Louise Crecy, 85, a longtime resident of Hebbronville, Texas died Monday, September 28, 2009 at Retama Nursing Home in Alice, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ashley Crecy.

Mrs. Crecy was born on June 30, 1924 in Agua Dulce, Texas to Willis And Susie Franklin. She worked for Tom and Estelle Harper (now deceased) as a livein maid for 36 years.

She is survived by longtime caregiver and niece, Linda (Phillip) Wilson of Kingsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Idotha Battle and Rev. Al Lewis officiating. Burial followed in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Services were entrusted to Turcotte- Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
