Kleberg County law enforcement ready for National Night Out
County Co mbined Kleberg County Law Enforcement and Support Services will host a special National Night Out Against Crime from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the J.K. Northway Exposition Center.
Although much of the nation celebrated National Night Out in August, Texas
Cou nty grand has tr aditi onally opted to celebrate National Night Out on Oct. 6 in many Lone Star State communities, according to the national organization of National Night Out, which is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and generate support and participation in local anticrime programs.
National Night Out is also aimed at strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships as well as send a message to criminals to let them know that neighborhoods are organized
jury indicts and fighting back.
Tuesday night’s program here includes an appearance by Grammy Award Winner Los Palominos, food and and information booths, games and National Identification Kits.
There will be live music
throughout the evening and
indicts numerous exhibits.
