Phillip ‘Blue’ Johnson III Phillip “Blue” Johnson III, 68, of Kingsville, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 in Kingsville.

Johnson was born on Feb. 27, 1941, in Galveston to Phillip and Geneva Johnson.

He was a retired chef.

Survivors include his wife, Vicky Garcia of Kingsville; two sons, Andy Garcia of Kingsville and Arturo Garcia of Alice; four daughters, Christina R. Rios of Alice, Cecilia Garcia of Corpus Christi, Yvonne Garcia of Kingsville, and Ruby Garcia of Kingsville; 19 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 28 at Ramirez- Salinas Funeral Home.

A religious service was held Monday, Sept. 28 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Jackson officiating.

Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery in Kingsville.
