Ana Maria “Anita” Garza, 82, of Kingsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, in Kingsville.

She was born April 27, 1927, in Mexico to Seferino Montes and Flavia Casanova.

Garza was a clerk for C&C Bakery until her retirement.

She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Onofre P. Garza of Kingsville; two daughters, Maricella (Richard) Garcia of Falfurrias, and Rosaelia (Tim) Burns of Georgia; two sons, Roberto (Hope) Garza of San Angelo, and Onofre Garza Jr. of Kingsville; brother, Francisco Montes of Camargo, Tamps., Mexico; sister, Lourdes Martinez of Kingsville; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with the Rev. Paul Puthenangady as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville.
