Almaraz plans to follow father and brother’s steps and attend A&M-Kingsville

Richard Almaraz Richard Almaraz The Student of the Month for H.M. King High School is Richard Almaraz. Richard is a 17-year-old senior.

He plans to attend Texas A&M University- Kingsville upon graduation.

Both his father and older brother received their degrees from A&MKingsville.

Richard’s father, Ruben Almaraz, is a history teacher at Memorial Middle School. His older brother is a computer engineer.

Richard is an “A-B” student and is ranked 45 in a class of 257. He is currently taking advance placement classes in literature, Spanish, and art.

He intends to take the AP exams for these courses at the end of the year.

Richard is also active in numerous school clubs such as the Art Club (president), Business Professionals of America, UIL Theatre Arts, and the Spanish Club.

Richard is also in the process of designing shirts for the Media Technology and Art clubs.

He was recently honored by the Rotary Club, which he gave a brief presentation to their scholarship committee.
