Mary Virginia Black Former Bishop resident, Mary Virginia Black, 89, died Sept. 17, 2009, at her home in Port Orchard, Wash.

She was born April 10, 1920, in Elm Grove, W.Va., to Lionel and Margaret (Chambers) Wilson.

She married Victor R. Black on June 10, 1937, in W.Va.

Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her son, Domer (Alice Jane) Black of Bishop; daughter, Sherry (Les) Campbell of Port Orchard, Wash.; eight grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service was held at 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Wash.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sept. 25 at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.
