Hector ‘Nixon’ Noriega Hector “Nixon” Noriega, 53, of Kingsville, died Sept. 20, 2009, in Corpus Christi.

Noriega was born on May 23, 1956, in Kingsville.

He was a former oil field operator.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sylvia Noriega of Kingsville; three sons, Jose (Mona) Arellano of Kingsville, Hector (Lu Anna) Noriega Jr., and Robert L. Noriega, both of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Jesus (Sylvia) Noriega of Kingsville, George (Debra) Noriega of Corpus Christi, and Albert Noriega of Kingsville; mother, Maria Teresa Garcia; step-father, Juan Garcia, both of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 23 at Ramirez- Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 at Ramirez- Salinas Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 24 at Ramirez- Salinas Funeral Home with Richard Costly officiating.

Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery in Kingsville.
