Jacinta S. Gonzalez Jacinta S. Gonzalez, 83, died Sept. 15, 2009.

She was born in Floresville, on Aug. 11, 1926, to Clementino and Petra Saenz.

Survivors include two sons, Luis Gonzalez of Kingsville, and George (Lesley) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi; four daughters, Antonia del Carmen Rodriguez of Alexandria, Va., Josie (Tom) Byrd of Algona, Iowa, Elida (Jesus) Castorena of Iowa and Norma (Fernando) Hernandez of Driscoll; two brothers, Ramon Saenz and Serapio Saenz, both of California; 20 grandchildren and 63 greatgrandchildren.

Visitation was held Sept. 17 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, with a rosary recited that evening.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 18 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was officiated by the Rev. Romeo Salinas.

Burial followed at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery in Kingsville.
