Wayne Cole has been named manager at the Kingsville Tractor Supply Company store that is nearing completion, according to District Manager Benny Villalbos.

Tractor Supply Company is the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the United States and has been operating in Texas since 1950.

Cole joined Tractor Supply Company as a manager trainee in Robstown in December 2008.

Before joining Tractor Supply Company, he served as an operations manager at Walmart for eight years.

“We are excited to have Wayne on our leadership team,” said Villalbos. “He grew up on a farm in East Texas, so he knows the area well, and he has put together a team heavily involved in the local FFA and 4-H chapters.”

In his new position, Cole will oversee all store operations, including receiving, inventory control and merchandising, as well as customer and team member relations.

The new Kingsville Tractor Supply Company store is at 2405 S. Brahma Blvd.

The store will open for business in early October.

The new store will have 12 to 17 full and part-time employees. The 31,500 square-foot store will include sales floor and support service space.

A fenced exterior space has been built for storage and display of items such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.

Construction began on the facility on July 13. The contractor for the project is W.R. Newman of Nashville, Tenn.
