Animal Rescue Kleberg
Animal Rescue Kleberg is a non-profit organization that helps find homes for orphaned cats, dogs and occasionally other animals. ARK is located at 225 E. Henrietta. Hours are from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by appointment.
Photos and descriptions of all pets ready for adoption can be viewed at the ARK web site at www.ark1.petfinder.com.
ARK recycles dog and cat collars, leashes, harnesses, towels, pet taxis, doghouses, kennels, bowls, toys, and other pet supplies. If you have any of these items that you don’t need, call 516-1456. Cats for Adoption
“Swirl”- female, dilute calico with grey and orange markings, spayed, SNAP tested, current on vaccinations, litter trained, about 11 months old.
“Mango”- male, solid orange tabby, neutered, SNAP tested, current on vaccinations, litter trained, about 11 months old.
“Leah”- female, brown tabby, spayed, SNAP tested, current on vaccination, litter trained, about 12 months old.
“Hazel”- female, blue point siamese, currently in the process of completing vet work, litter trained, about 3 months old.
“Louie”- male, medium haired grey tabby with white, neutered, SNAP tested, current on vaccination, litter trained, about 3 1/2 months old.
“Libby”- female, solid black, spayed, SNAP tested, current on vaccinations, litter trained, about 1 1/2 years old.
“Daphne”- female, calico with white, black, and orange colorations, spayed, SNAP tested, current on vaccinations, litter trained, about 3 1/2 months old.
“Minnie”- female, white with black markings, currently in the process of completing vet work, litter trained, about 2 1/2 months old.
Dogs for adoption
“Lucy”- female, red miniature pinscher mix, spayed, current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, about 6 months old.
“Blue”-female, blue heeler mix, spayed, current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, about 5 1/2 months old.
“Amy”- female, beagle/ terrier mix, currently in the process of completing vet work, about 6 1/2 weeks old.
“Hass”- male, black lab mix, currently in the process of completing vet work, about 6 1/2 months old, kennel trained.
“Elvis”- male, black with grey German short hair pointer, neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention, about 1 1/2 years old.
“Sweeps”- male, white Lhaso Apso mix, currently in the process of completing vet work, current on heartworm prevention, about 7 years old.
“Daisy”- female, yellow lab mix, spayed, current on heartworm preventative and vaccinations, about 1 year old.
Lost
“Tiger”, neutered male cat, grey in color, 4 years old, wearing a blue and pink collar. Lost in the vicinity of the 2100 block of Colorado Street on August 7th, please call (361) 228-4186 if seen or found.
Shelter
The Kingsville City/County Animal Control Shelter, located at 8604 N. Armstrong, also has a wide variety of animals available for adoption. However, these animals are only available for a limited amount of time. Call 592- 3324 for more information.
