Kleberg County Republican Party to hold county convention
      The Kleberg County Republican Party will hold their county convention at 10 a.m. March 20 at the first floor courtroom at the Kleberg County Courthouse. Delegates and alternate delegates will be selected to attend the Republican Party State Convention in Dallas on June 11-12, 2010. Any interested registered voters are invited to attend this county convention.

     Molly is a female bobtailed calico, and is the Animal Rescue Kleberg Pet of the Week looking for a good home. She is approximately 3-4 years old. She along with several other cats were rescued from a terrible condition.

City candidate ineligibility clarified
      Contrary to a news story on the election in the Sunday, March 14 edition of the Kingsville Record and Bishop News, Ruben G. Soliz could not run for both the Kingsville City Commission and as a trustee of the Kingsville Independent School District at the same time because of the state election code, City Attorney Courtney Alvarez said.
