Palmer Drug Abuse Program receives $50,000 donation

Kingsville businessman Donny Haggerton donated over $50,000 in silkscreen equipment to the Palmer Drug Abuse Program last week, one of the largest donations ever made to the program, officials said.

Haggerton said he hopes the PDAP staff use the equipment to teach young people a trade.

Mother indicted for abandoning infant

A mother accused of leaving her three-month-old infant son in the care of a teenage girl overnight last year has been indicted by a Kleberg County grand jury for abandoning her child.

URI trial resuming in district court Monday
