The Kingsville Independent School District board of trustees authorized KISD administrators to proceed with a bond election of $40 million at a special meeting held Friday morning. Former Kingsville resident, Lola Jean Hunter Garner, 80, of Houston, died Feb. 1, 2010, in Houston. She was born Dec. 12, 1929, to Albert and Willie Pearl Hunter in Kingsville.
